In addition to the "easy" way to improve reliability, there is one thing I've been considering for a while but can't justify as a personal expense: move NAS out of my basement and into a shed equipped with backup power (solar) and a backup WAN (starlink).
This would provide power and Internet redundancies in addition to removing the present flood risk (it's all in my basement).
I've been re-learning Sketchup and it's in the planning stages, but I don't have the budget to make this happen.
