Back garden drainage is pathetic in the new place. Something shared by our neighbours either side, which they addressed by paving over their back gardens. Wonder where their rain water goes? (To us, you think?) So first test pit of the gravel step stones, having put in a few base layers under it. If it works, I'll plant aceana around them next spring in hopes of softening the ugly. Other anti-swamp projects afoot, as well. #gardening
