government, with a little "g", (not meaning the State), is needed by mankind. Self-government is the best kind. This is rules and order, also called "governance", and yes, religions do provide that, and teaches people the self-discipline required for self-government. As William Penn said: “Men must be governed by God or they will be ruled by tyrants.” In our increasingly godless, secular age we find ourselves increasingly subjected to tyranny.
Christian anarchists say "No king BUT Christ." We realize that humans still need governance, and there's no getting around that, but it shouldn't be by some earthly, fallible human.
