Just had a shocking phone call from my daughter in law to say her on-off boyfriend (the father of her three year old daughter) tried to commit suicide yesterday.
He got in the car, having put a pipe on the exhaust, and took enough paracetamol to knock out a horse.
Thankfully, he fell unconscious before he could turn on the car engine, so - somehow - he survived!!!
There is a long sad story behind this, too long to say here. But thank God he survived.
