A project I'm planning in the semi-near future is to convert my previous rig into a "nostalgia box".
The idea?
Switch the failing HDD for an SSD, clean up the case and dust the hardware, flash a retro-themed #Linux distro like Netrunner onto it, then set up only retro games and applications. Might even use it to dial into some BBSes.
I figure this is a better way to avoid hardware waste without having to outright sell it for scrap. Plus, it should be a fun project to work on!
