This weeks #Lego #FossilFriday is #Australovenator
In the early 2000s a fossil bed was found near Winton Queensland containing two dinosaurs believed to be stuck in a billabong, 100 million years ago.
In 2009 the fossils were formally named Australovenator and Diamantinasaurus by paleontologist Scott Hocknull et al of the Queensland Museum
The fossil specimens were nicknamed Banjo and Matilda respectively after the song Waltzing Matilda written 100 years before in Winton by Banjo Paterson.
