I love #NinaSimone & have no illusions about her troubled life... but the way her daughter talks about her is both touching & harrowing.... Nina Simone was often very angry, which is what made her music so powerful, but there were terrible consequences for those around her, as this interview makes plain.

I don't much subscribe to the myth of the necessarily 'troubled' artist, but in Simone's case the myth approaches reality!
