Let's set aside basic housekeeping duties - such as cooking, laundry, washing the floors, and doing dishes.

The first thing she needs to learn is the very basics of how to keep the newborn from dying until I get home. She needs to know how to feed the newborn, she needs to know how to change their diaper, she needs to know how to burp them...so on and so forth. A 13 year old girl today certainly does not know these things, and it is odd to expect that nowadays.

There simply is no hope there. I have seen what the typical teenage girl is capable of, and it is not even close to that.
