I am helping a friend try to find the right #mastodon instance for them to get started. This seems to be the mystery and the major hurdle to cross for new users to take the leap into the #fediverse.
Does anyone have any advice for how someone completely new can do this? I've tried simply searching online and it's a hot mess of server names with meager (if any) details 😵💫
