[internal monologue while brushing teeth this morning] there's so much hardware driving the OLED display on this electric toothbrush, there's no reason they can't just audibly talk to you, since you can't see the display while brushing anyway. your toothbrush could say "hey, good job", or "get the back a little more", or "haven't seen you in a while, what's up". maybe people would build up relationships with their toothbrushes, and the toothbrush would be all "where were you last night? is there another oral-b?" and eventually people would fall in love with their toothbrushes, and there would be underground toothbrush firmware hackers adding kink stuff, sexy voices, or like the ability to bring your toothbrush to orgasm while brushing
