"but women riders are statistically more likely to be involved in traffic incidents" yes and studies show this is because they have a bigger tendency to "play nice" and "avoid disturbing traffic with their presence" instead of following the rules which in turn makes it more likely for them to end up ignored by motor drivers and then literally under their machines
So uh advice is "be more assertive" and "take the space that's yours, drivers will get over it"
