What I don't get is why anyone would have to specify they don't accept a particular payment method unless they know there's a demand for it.
Like if a shop says "we don't accept credit cards" the context makes sense - people want to use credit cards to pay, so if you don't accept them it's nice to warn people. If a shop said "we don't accept cheques" I'd be confused because nobody pays with cheques anymore.
If this band member felt the need to specify they don't accept Bitcoin then they must have had requests to tip in Bitcoin, which is great. Be even better if they took that on board and started accepting those tips.
