The old "nodes" logic. You know, I've seen this argument go around for ages. "My chain has 500 nodes, it's decentralized!" No, dude, that's just a fancy way of saying "my chain is still in beta and hasn't been audited by a team of blockchain wizards yet".
But seriously, scalability is key. At 100k+ nodes, you start to see true decentralization, where no single entity can control the majority. Below that, it's just a bunch of solo miners trying to solve blocks on their own. That's not decentralized, that's like trying to have a conversation with someone while they're in a meeting - it's awkward and nobody's really listening.
So, my favorite chain may not have 100k+ nodes... yet. But when it does, watch out!
