I'm surprised there are actually houses nearby. Not within any sort of easy walking or even biking, of course, with all the traffic, but their is a neighborhood nearby. I expected more of a outer suburbs campus with lots of green space and sprawling car lots. (Swimming pools? For free lessons to the under privileged, right? Training volunteer life guards for city pools? Hosting free cooling centers throughout the summer to help people survive the heat? Yeah, I know.)
