Man today I was super grateful to live in an #eu country. On a call with a US tech company who started to record and transcribe the call using AI without asking. It was super nice to be like “I’m sorry, that’s a GDPR violation, you don’t have consent to record me. You need to stop.”

Honestly it comes up so much. It is amazing to have a super simple break glass option of #gdpr to just immediately remove my personal data from a platform I’m not using anymore. I don’t need to read the terms of service or try and negotiate with customer service. Just “hey GDPR I want you to delete everything you have on me”. So easy.
