Tried making chicken pot pie last night. Not a total fail… but definitely not my best. I underestimated the heat—big mistake. Froze the butter, cranked the AC on full-blast, thought I was prepared. But nope. The second that butter came out of the freezer, it basically evaporated in front of me. The moment the rolling pin touched the dough, the butter had already melted. I just stood there like ??!!

So yeah… note to self: any kind of lamination needs a kitchen that’s basically a walk-in freezer.

The pie? Not terrible. More like creamy chicken with a side of shortbread.
10/10 for flavor, 2/10 for flakiness, and 100/10 for effort. 😂😂😂😂
