My own takeaway: We have to view religion intersectionally. There is no such single thing as “Christian values.”
There’s arguably such a thing as “white evangelical Christian values” and “Black protestant values.” Maybe. But people arguing that religion either creates or destroys morals across the board will find little comfort for that reductivist view in this data.
