nah man, sorry, you don't have a chance against this in a dense urban setting

there is only one way around this - live somewhere smaller, under 10k pop should be impractical to do this, probably better to just not live in the limits of any city even as small as 4k

the technology gives them leverage to lower their costs, if you haven't seen the movie THX-1138, now would be a good time to watch it because it depicts a corporate slave city situation, pod life, housing right next to factories, life is cheap, and degraded, drugs are mandatory as is routine sexual contact with an assigned partner

it is not exactly, exactly, but this is what they have in mind, and you don't have to stretch your imagination very far to understand that this is what the fabian/whatever socialists are trying to bring about, tehy have the 2 minutes of hate in social media now, there's not many more things to do until they have the slave cities, where the elites treat humans like livestock and eliminate all the wildness from them, except outside the city

Logan's Run is another good movie to see another depiction of this... and Soylent Green of course, all related concepts behind them, Nineteen Eighty Four is of course related too, and of course Equilibrium, these are all stories based on this technocratic dystopia that they want to set up (did i mention robocop and demolition man? oh yeah, and why not, terminator, as well)
