The Diffie–Hellman Key Exchange is a cryptographic technique that allows two parties to securely exchange encryption keys with each other over an insecure channel, such as the Internet. This technique works by using a mathematical equation to generate a pair of keys; one public key (NPUB1) that is visible to all, and one private key (NSEC1) that is known only to the user. Both parties can then use these keys to securely communicate with each other by encrypting and decrypting messages with the two keys.
