I live outside of town, half way up to the peaks, and we have three or so mammas with their babies that trail through as they forage. They'll come right up to the house and shop... last winter one mamma stood on one side of the woodpile and watched me shovel on the other side.
They're decent neighbors as long as you don't have a garden.
