I can't even post or add an alt text to my photo on #Pixelfed - prolly bcos of how borked the flagship instance is atm due to the attention its getting. Saw people suggesting Pixelfed close registration on its instance or exclude pixelfed.social from the instance directory to route more traffic to other Pixelfed instances instead, which is the fundamental idea behind #Fediverse, but it doesn't seem like Pixelfed's heading that route. The only thing I saw from Pixelfed's announcement recently was only to upgrade its instance, rather than promote others on the app itself or the bare minimum, on their #Mastodon account.
