We don’t deserve them. The operational and political leadership that led to this needs to be removed. This is no different than a pointless war that could have been avoided but for the fecklessness of an incompetent class of people who live in a fantasy land of self-importance and social capital. They then rely on the honor and bravery of true patriots when things fall apart to secure their status. I pray that some true leadership emerges from the front lines when the battle is over.
