Fair enough. There wasn't a sales support rep on there with them? Usually these guys call with their salesman and one technical nerd, and the technical nerd runs the demo and answers anything relevant, while the sales rep puts on a friendly face and tries to keep the nerd from being too weird. The nerd should know... and if it's written by nerds that don't know, we're back full-circle to suspicious product quality. I wouldn't trust a software nerd who didn't have at least some working understanding of GPL and its implications.
