After my unexpected visit to A&E yesterday, I’m grateful that I was discharged right at the start of the Great Unmasking. I'd arrived at 5pm & wasn’t seen by a doctor till 4.30am. The corridors were filled with people on stretchers, lots of visitors, no free beds on wards. A nurse told me that Auckland Hospital was at 200% capacity - that's a LOT of people in corridors. Imagine how much more sickness will be wafting around now that visitors don't have to wear masks anymore. It’s unforgivable.
