For video chat, great open source options abound but are not, yet, Fediverse-enabled. All are self hostable (but generally have reference implementations you can use to test or buy a hosted service). They include https://bigbluebutton.org, https://meet.jit.si, or, if you have a NextCloud instance, you could use NC Talk. All are excellent.",
