Junco herding. Not your ordinary cowboy.
Some mornings there is a Junco (small bird) in the blueberry jail. And, sure enough, looking out the kitchen window this morning that is what we see. How do they get in?
Ah ha! This morning we also saw another Junco on top of the jail that would poke its head through the netting and then thrash trying to force its way inside for a berry breakfast. But it was too chubby to make in.
I opened the jail door and went in waving my arms. Our Juncos are well trained and it flew out the open door. Apparently after they fatten up on berries they are then to fat to force their way though the netting.
