the reason I make the argument this way is because the chart is ALREADY usd denominated.
the BTC value is (BTC/USD)
the XMR value is (XMR/USD)
you are still using fiat equivalence to measure them against each other.
while you are correct, you could use anything
exchange charts use USD.
