To support this: I also blocked the built in news feed on Android that appears when you swipe right from your first screen.
No single move ever changed my online habits so drastically.
I am completely free from the urge to check that darned compiled feed every five minutes.
This stuff is made to addict you, yes. Are slow clients the solution? Not convinced.
Block the distractions instead.

If anyone wants to know: NetGuard is what I use to block the news feed and all other BS on Android 🤙🏻
