The media DOES cover it. I see it discussed all the time. But the reality is that despite all that Trump looks 20 years younger than Biden on the stump, despite there only being a 3 year difference. Trump is full of chaotic energy when he speaks, Biden is mumbling in a voice that even I have trouble understanding much of the time now (at least in unscripted nonteleprompter situations). That same poll I mentioned earlier that just came out not only views the Trump presidency more favorably than Biden, 60% to 40% says Trump "can get things done" as compared with Biden.
But even on the issues front, there have been some terrible missteps. People look at their credit card and mortgage rates, not the macroeconomic indicators much at all. I think it was an absolute unforced error to be pushing things like EV mandates at this time, it just gives the GOP a "they want to take away your cars" argument. There's been a lot of incompetency and despite it being well meaning it has handed evil a lot of cards to play. We need someone out there against Trump now he can speak forcefully and energetically to dispute Trump's lies every day. That just isn't Joe any more.
