What are the best books and articles on what it's like to do science under an authoritarian regime?
I'm finding a few articles on science in Brazil under Bolosanaro, for example, who was rather similar to Trump. But I'd really like "how-to" articles or memoirs explaining how scientists survived authoritarian regimes, either by hunkering down, by stepping up and resisting, or a mixture of the two.
