"I always knew no-one could change sex, and that men were not women, but I was too scared to say that when I saw what happened to others. So I went along with what everyone else was saying and hoped I could stay out of trouble. I didn't think it mattered very much as long as it wasn't me affected directly. Now the atmosphere is different and I feel like I can say sex matters. I'm going to pretend I didn't mouth all those slogans before and hope that no-one has the receipts. It'll be fine."
