Last cycle, Raspberry Pi Zeros were scarce, so we sold a lot of SeedSigner (npub17ty…3mgl) DIY-Kits. This time, Pi Zeros are plenty and available for cheap almost everywhere. The result is that we're seeing more orders for enclosures, which is good for security and decentralization.
One thing hasn't changed, though.📢 Europe is building Seedsigners at record speeds! 🔥
Thanks to the many resources existing in almost any language by now, all created free of charge by this amazing FOSS community, more people are discovering DIY as a valid alternative to corporate hwws.
Having talked to many of them, one thing becomes clear. Education trumps simplicity. Almost every new user's mind is blown by how good the UI is at displaying complex concepts like change addresses, for example. And while SeedSigner simply does what it's supposed to do, it also teaches them how bitcoin works under the hood just by using it. The sly roundabout way. 😏
Side note, for every SeedSigner related sale, we donate parts of profits to the awesome dev team, donations haven't went out in a while because we were busy printing. We fixed that today as well.
