In this recent episode of CITADELDISPATCH (nprofile…x696) with ODELL (nprofile…zx3h) - jack (nprofile…283f) talked about one of the first simple changes to Twitter's feed that included a "whilst you were away" feature - which highlighted 8 top posts from people you followed in a recent timeframe, before you get to the chronological feed.

In my view adding this simple change to the way client feeds work would massively increase the value of nostr - as currently there's just too much going on and it's easy to miss valuable posts. The trending section of Primal is great - but I don't believe it serves the same purpose.

Do any clients offer this right now?

miljan (nprofile…97yv) jb55 (nprofile…5e6s) Vitor Pamplona (nprofile…x58v) any plans to add something like this?

From jack (nprofile…283f) :

"What we decided to do is ... you're on the app, and then you go away, and then you come back to it, let's say, after like 3 hours, and you're following a 1000 people. When you have to go reverse through a 1000 people to see what you missed, like, it's it's what Nostr is today ... You can't do that. It just takes time, and it takes time away from what else you could be doing. So our first algorithm was called while you're away, and it would try to figure out what you are most likely to engage with in terms of like, what you tend to look at more or you you reply to. And it would put 8 of those tweets at the top. And then underneath, it's the the full reverse cron. And we kept that for 2 years."
