Hey, it's coming out day. Back in 2007 I came out as transfemale and started transition.
Lately I'm discovering that transfemme doesn't quite cover it and I'm feeling disconnected from gender in general. Lately I've been experimenting with using no pronouns at all, divorcing myself entirely from the idea of gender, and that feels genuine.
So I guess I'm coming out again, as agender. I recently discovered the term "kenochoric" which describes a sense of liminality (not necessarily connected to gender, but can be) and that really resonates with me.
I guess the takeaway here is that coming out is not always the one-and-done it seems to be. Coming out is a process, and it's different for everyone. #comingoutday
