Stanford just rewarmed some net neutrality propaganda on HN, outlining some scary future we're gonna live in... when this is already a reality and is not something that net neutrality legislation addresses in any way.

It's a reality because major services providers build their own fiber backbones and / or collocate caches at major ISPs. Money already buys you performance, it's just not a zero-sum game.
