Attempting to deradicalize members of the far-right is certainly a noble goal and a viable strategy; my intent was not to deny that. However, it cannot be the only strategy.
The point is that our primary goal should be to defeat fascism, not to convince fascists. The latter can certainly be helpful (in certain situations) for achieving the former, but we need to accept that there will always be people who we will never convince (perhaps because they're high enough on the desired fascist hierarchy that they'd have some meaningful amount of power over many others and they understand the value proposition of having other people's shit)
