Also, I often miss MIT's openness to experimenting and empowering students/faculty with things like setting up servers and giving everyone static IPs. Not sure if that's still the case in 2024. But it's surprising how corporate some old universities are! I guess resistance to change has allowed them to maintain their brand for hundreds of years, so I can't blame them too much.
