I honestly won't even try to guess the degree of technical literacy of the Nostr community at large. However, given that new users tend to mimic what they see, without necessarily taking the time to fully understand what they're doing, I believe this is fair advice. To put it another way: the number of users with avatars featuring animals with red laser beam eyes, asking on Nostr how they can buy guns on their local black market, was... well... greater than zero 😂.
