I am still :ablobcatsweatsip: ing (npub1y6t…9wl9) [migrated to blacksky.co.uk] (npub1srh…8g90) It's not Protestantism in general really, but more specifically Evangelical churches (e.g. Baptist, 'Bible' Churches, etc.). However, the older denominations that do not adhere to these specific doctrinal ideas, leading to what you're referring to, instead have become more left wing on social issues like gay marriage and etc so most protestants have flocked to the evangelical churches to get away from that. I think there are some more conservative offshoots of the old denominations that went their own way and continued the original doctrines, but I think they are extremely rare and you would really have to go looking to find one.
