Yesterday took an impromptu little trip to High Park and saw this unbelievable bird!! Rather like a cardinal, even its chirpy call, but it was a deep, rich blue instead of red. Merlin ID'd it by its call as an Indigo Bunting. Upon looking it up I see they are in the same family as cardinals, so that makes sense.

I never expected to see such a beautiful bird!
