During the first 30 years of my life, there was a government policy in place to actively hide the existence of transness from me. We were coercively sterilised and required to not have biological children, since that would've looked suspicious after we had been transitioned and forcibly moved to a new place, where pretending to be cis was mandatory.
When these policies ended in 2013, less than 1,000 people had been allowed to transition in Sweden since 1972.
