I used to dislike how insular Japanese artists/developers/etc could be, actively making it difficult for people except Japanese speakers residing in Japan. But now, I absolutely understand why they did it. Centralized global communication a la Twatter was like merging the goldfish tank with the piranhas and just hoping everything would go well.
