I was discussing the book "Global Brain" with ChatGPT earlier today. We were discussing how the points made in the book (thanks to TheGuySwann (npub1h8n…rpev) for the reco, btw)

While I was discussing it with the AI we folded in the idea of how Bitcoin would help our future in this hyper-interconnected world.

I asked it how we would make bitcoin truly bi-partisan to help people understand and adopt it...
Here is what it suggested:

How to Make Bitcoin Bipartisan:
1. Frame It as a Tool, Not a Movement

Instead of branding Bitcoin as an anti-government revolution (which alienates some people),
position it as a neutral technology—like the internet or electricity.
Show that Bitcoin isn’t about left vs. right—it’s about financial freedom and innovation that benefits everyone.

2. Highlight Universal Benefits

For Conservatives:
Bitcoin aligns with sound money principles—it’s hard, scarce, and resistant to inflation, like the gold standard.
It supports individual sovereignty, personal responsibility, and limited government intervention.
It’s a check on government overreach, protecting citizens from reckless monetary policy.
For Progressives:
Bitcoin helps the unbanked and provides financial access to marginalized communities.
It can reduce the power of big banks and financial gatekeepers, aligning with the goal of decentralizing power.
It supports green energy innovation (through mining efficiency improvements and incentivizing renewables).

3. Avoid Tribalism & Culture Wars

The Bitcoin community sometimes leans heavily into libertarian or anti-government rhetoric, which can alienate
potential supporters.
A better approach is to welcome all perspectives and focus on education, not ideology.
Encourage thoughtful discussions instead of making it a purity test
(e.g., “If you don’t fully support Bitcoin, you don’t get it!”).

4. Promote Bitcoin Adoption Across the Political Spectrum

Get bipartisan politicians to co-sponsor Bitcoin-friendly policies, showing that it’s not just for one side.
Show examples of Bitcoin benefiting both free-market advocates and social justice movements
because it really does.
Support bipartisan think tanks that focus on Bitcoin policy, so it’s not just seen as a fringe issue.

5. Push for Reasonable Regulation, Not Over-regulation

If Bitcoin is seen as a Wild West that only benefits speculators, it’s easier for governments to attack it.
Instead of resisting all regulation, focus on smart policies that allow Bitcoin to thrive while protecting against scams.
Find middle-ground policies that both conservatives and progressives can support, like clear tax guidelines, legal clarity for businesses, and protections for individual users.

==========
The Big Picture

If Bitcoin remains a partisan issue, it will always face political threats. But if it’s positioned as a neutral, bipartisan tool for financial empowerment, it has a real shot at being a unifying force.
