Sometimes it feels like the most progressive eras that this country has gone through were in the early and mid 20th century - lots of these reforms based around health and living quality. You also had many people focused on improving things in charge of stuff instead of people focused on profits/power. This current wall of reactionary fascist bullshit is something we must overcome for democracy to survive and things to improve.
