Forgive me, wandering into territory beyond my ken, and expecting to get smacked down, but if it's already hot enough to make the steel plyable for a blade, and weve got ways to make casts and the like what is stopping from casting the case with enough heat into a proper mold.
Realize I'm most likely missing a few obvious things, but I've never known as much as I would like.
