GPT can't "fix" your broken build in the general sense. What it can do is hallucinate a possible fix it thinks it remembers from a StackOverflow post it was trained on.
In doing so it is replacing your labor of looking up the fix with your labor in verifying the fix and automating exploiting that public dataset.
