There are some good guides out there, but essentially it boils down to needing that USB hub (because it only has 1 USB port, and you need to connect at least a flash drives and a keyboard) and a 32-bit Linux installer, because although the device's CPU is a 64-bit Intel Atom, the BIOS is only 32-bit so won't boot a 64-bit boot loader. IMHO it's a waste of memory to use a 64 bit OS with only 2GB of RAM anyway as this makes all memory addresses take up twice as much space but the whole memory range can be addressed in just 12 bits. Annoyingly it won't boot off a Linux installer on MMC flash memory, at least not in any configuration I found, but booting from USB flash is only a matter of enabling that in the BIOS menu. The only other change you need to make in the BIOS menu is to change the OS type to "Ubuntu Linux", though it doesn't seem to care *which* Linux distro you use. I don't like Ubuntu so I used Debian.
