The most people don't get it. The majority seeing bitcoin short term for trading it, to become rich. (Trader, gambler, degens leveraging). The others understood Bitcoin's unique role as a commodity with a limited max supply. No government is able to censor, print or steal it. Bitcoin can give you financial freedom if you wanna use it for that and protects you long term from governments, who are stealing your purchasing power. Self custody is the only way to avoid a rug pull through governments, banks, broker or exchanges. Be your own bank. Try to live on a bitcoin standard. Don't support the system which works against you. I am using Bitcoin on chain (Bitbox, Jade), Liquid btc (Jade & Aquawallet) to send bitcoin to my own lightning hub. Credit card (unfortunately) to pay at retailers, subtracting it just in time from my btc account and soon from my lightning hub ( via nwc).
