I was very lucky -- we have YMCA with a great pool only seven blocks from our house, so it was easy to go
Weirdly, lessons didn't work well -- the kids didn't like the teachers -- so when I finally un-lazied my ass I just took them a lot and slowly got 'em used to water and then they could swim well enough
