Epistemic humility and conviction.
You are open to being wrong, you know you are fallible. And yet when you see something clearly, you take the leap.
This seems contradictory, but it’s not.
It’s only a leap because of your humility. Conviction is only meaningful in that context, contains an element of courage.
Hence the earnest observation of a single person >>>> the incentive-purchased dogma of all the world's experts.
